This delicate Silver Horse Pendant inspired by Tír na nÓg, land of the eternally young, depicts Otherworld Mythical horses often seen emerging from the sea with the ocean spray swirling from their manes carrying mortals and fairy people between this world and the otherworld. Niamh, daughter of Manannán Mac Lir, travelled from Tir Na nÓg on a sea horse to Ireland and fell in love with Oisin, son of Fionn MacCumhaill. They returned to Tír na Óg, but Oisin, missing his earthly homeland, returned on a magical horse, forbidden to ever dismount for if he touched the earth he would die.
