The Vikings from Scandinavia dominated great swathes of Europe and also paid a visit to Ireland. Some say our red hair comes from our Scandinavian visitors! The Vikings were great seafarers and brought with them Norse legends and were said to look through Iolite to determine the direction of the sun on overcast days, hence Iolite was like a Viking compass. I have designed the Viking ship set with Iolite.
